It truly is moving to see God work in the lives of the ladies at 10 Sticks and Scanteia. In 10 Sticks during November they got together and made parachutes. You might ask, “What does that have to missions?” Those chutes will be sent to Columbia where they will be used to drop radios and leaflets into villages where people can then hear the Gospel message. The group in 10 Sticks took up a small offering to help with the expense of getting the parachutes to the missionaries. Some of the young girls from the church came to the meeting and perhaps a young girls mission group can be started.
The Scanteia ladies talked about missions and Gal. 5:22-23. The group there is just beginning back after many years of not meeting. Pray for them and the church that God would again do a mighty work.

December 2010
December has been a great month for the ministry here. FBTC continues to equip men and women to be future leaders in their villages and churches through the classes offered. We have had preaching opportunities in 4 new churches where we have preached the Gospel and shared about the school and our ministry here.
We finished up on Disciples Cross class and continue teaching the other 4 Bible studies. We have taken a Dec. break and those classes will restart in Jan. 2011.
It is winter here in NE Romania and the temp. has dropped down into the teens and snow is on the ground. We thank the Lord that we got some new snow tires this season and those have enabled us to continue to travel to villages and teach and preach.
We did get a chance to go to Vala Mare, Moldova and promote the Disciples Cross and the starting of new small groups in several churches there. Pray for those believers in Moldova who even by Romanian standards are very poor.
Continued thanks for all those who continue to support and pray for our ministry here. If you would like to partner with us and help in any way it is always appreciated. But, more than just giving we continue to invite pastors and church leaders to come and experience a short term mission trip with us. Pray about that. You will be blessed through the sacrifices you make.
Thanks again. David & Rody Maynard, Missionaries to Romania

November 2010

Classes continue to go well at the school considering all the hardships our students face. This last month we had 15 students and they took classes in: Old Testament; Church History; Bible Doctrines; Preaching; What God says about money & Jesus on Leadership.
Like many in our world today our students continue to face a variety of problems. Most of those problems have to do with the economy of Romania. However, despite overwhelming difficulties they continue to come, are excited about school and work hard while they are here.
We thank the Lord for our students and continue to thank the Lord for all those who continue to help and support the work here. We continue to look to the Lord for our provision and continue to pray that He would lay a burden on the hearts of more people and churches to partner with us in this ministry here.
We have had the opportunity to start five new Bible study classes this fall. We are traveling to Scanteia and 10 sticks to do the Disciples Cross and Witnessing Through Your Relationships. In Iasi we continue to do the Disciples Cross, the Book of John and Experiencing God. All total we have 36 students involved in these classes.

Summer 2010
Rody and I had a great time while we were in the states. We visited a lot with family and that was great. We also were able to visit friends and a number of churches throughout America. We had the chance to visit churches Ohio, Ky., Tenn, Colo. and Wis.
Rody and I also wanted to express our sincere appreciation and we consider it a privilege to share with others like yourself about how God is working and changing lives here in Romania. We want to thank you also for your prayers and the support that you helped us with. We understand the trying circumstances that many churches are going though today. Yet we believe in all our hearts that God wants His church to do more now than it has ever done. It requires much faith as we all step forward and work together for His kingdom purposes.
We would encourage people to pray about coming to Iasi, Ro. on a short term mission trip. God seems to work in hearts and lives in beautiful ways when we take time to go outside of our own comfort zone. If you are interested in more information and the best times to come please contact us here at the wed site or at my email address: roplanterman@yahoo.com
Pray for the school that will start 4 Oct and for all the preaching and teaching events that are planned. May God get all the glory. Thanks again David & Rody
